My first lobster roll

Had a wonderful day down at Cape Cod.

Starting with breakfast - Cheerios with fresh fruit and toast with peanut butter. Then into the car for the long drive south to Provincetown( 100 miles)

On the way we stopped off at the Marconi Station where the first transatlantic telegram was transmitted from in 1903.

Then on to Provincetown which is an interesting place with lots of quirky shops and nice buildings. It was quite busy today. We mooched around the shops for a bit ..... I bought a few things including a handbag( no surprise there) and some sea glass earrings.

Then it was time for a snack and it just had to be a lobster roll. The shop we went to tried to suggest we have a lobster wrap but we held out for a roll. It was delicious.

More shopping and then it was time to head home. We stopped off for our evening meal at Mac's Fish House. I chose halibut with pea risotto which was very good. Brownie with ice cream for pud

On our way home we stopped to go down by the ocean to listen to the waves and watch the stars. It was a lovely calm evening.

Back home to be greeted by Raspberry. Betsey had brought her a titbit of lobster which she enjoyed.

So another lovely day in Massachusetts. I'm really enjoying this trip - thanks to Betsey and T who are great hosts.

Check out justbe's blip for another view of our day.
