Now, as I see it......

Wimpole at War

We were looking for somewhere to go for the day when I saw Nicoiseannie's photos from the 1940's weekend at Wimpole Hall, a nearby National Trust estate. The theme was 'Wimpole at War' and the whole thing was really well done. Lots of things to see; displays by war re-enactors, talks and walks, a fly-past by a Lancaster and Spifire, and plenty of 1940's music including a Swing Band and a traditional Brass Band. There were Lindy Hop demos, and a Vintage Hairdresser was giving ladies the 1940's look. All in all, an excellent day.

I took loads of pictures and had several that would make a good Blip so I've added a few as extras. I'd better be careful though; only 12 extras remaining for this year!
