Thank you Richard!

So we set off to go orienteering in Harrogate today and, by the time we reached Bingley, we had a very flat tyre with a small screwdriver sticking out of it!  Tony learned a valuable lesson, that you don't mention the possibility of vandalism when speaking to the AA, as suddenly your membership since 1972 and three callouts mean nothing.  If they had to recover our car then it would come out of our insurance!   Tony's expression of disappointment resulted in the arrival of lovely Richard.

His plan was to replace our wheel with a temporary one and then he would follow us to Keighley kwik-fit to buy a replacement tyre, where they had four in stock.  We arrived to find a car had beaten us to it and was having the four tyres fitted.......so Richard followed us to Shipley where he had been told they had two of our tyres.  We arrived to find a car had beaten us to it and was having the two tyres fitted........ so Richard rang Ilkley kwik- fit and asked to reserve a tyre, and lead us there, where at last we had our new tyre fitted and said our thank yous to Richard, who also confirmed (as did the Ilkley kwik-fit fitter) that the screwdriver was not vandalism but just an unfortunate pick up from the road, so restoring our faith!
