"What you two up to?"

We've been bringing in stiles again today, this time at Attermire, so it was up on to the fell above Langcliffe and along the bumpy farm track to the barn.  We had eleven stiles to bring in and I don't think either of us will have much trouble getting to sleep tonight!  Whether we can get out of bed in the morning.....

We began by walking out to a group of seven stiles, lifting them over the walls and carrying them down to a central location before Tony went off up the fell for the furthest four.  Meanwhile, I ferried the seven back and forth to the barn.  I had a chat with the farmer who had arrived with a trailer full of sheep looking shell shocked at their bouncing around up the lane.  The minute they were out and spotted grass they were happy bunnies.  The farmer was visibly relieved that we were legitimate folks and not some cheeky tourists trying to cut some height off their walk!

Before we separated, we were hanging over this wall lifting stile number six when this cow came along to see what we were up to.

Stiles piled ready for collection, we agreed we deserved not to have to cook dinner so we called off at the Naked Man Cafe in Settle and had a late lunch before heading home.

I'm going to the local camera club open evening later.  I've heard good reviews from lovelupins and neighbour Terry, so I might be signing up.
