Misty, murky

and wet morning walk.

Very warm again but not exactly pleasant, still my neighbour and I had a good walk around Goit Stock choosing to walk the circuit in the opposite direction to our usual route.

Passing out of the fields on Crowther's farm this fungi was growing on the gate post. Just showing that there is always something interesting to see whatever the weather. In the same field we could see the silhouette of a fairly large bird of prey in the top of a tree. Not able to identify it but bigger than a Kestrel.

Returning through the woods and along the lane from the caravan park we met another friend dog walking. He had just seen a Kingfisher. Sadly we didn't see it but it's always as well to be alert just in case.
