The accidental finding

The office on the first floor left was once mine, probably in the 1990s, when I worked at Gaia books, the publishing company. Eventually the firm was sold to Conran Octopus, and the offices are now in Canary Wharf tower in London's Docklands.

We still don't know who the new tenant of this building will be, but the upper floors have been vacant since 2002, when Gaia left. Trees were growing on the roof's parapet, so it was about time...

I was in the market today, indoors. Frustrated that my new Christmas card stock won't be available until around mid-October, and that today's customers didn't see any urgency about buying the remaining few advent calendars! Every market is so different. I work at a different one most weekends, so predicting customer behaviour is nigh-on impossible. I'd like to have a regular slot at Stroud's Friday indoor market, though. The traders are a friendly bunch.
