Reeth

This year, all my annual leave from the day job has been arranged around festivals. And, while it can be great fun working on a trade stall, it's also hard work. So MrM and I decided to have a few days' proper holiday.

We packed a few things this morning, hitched up the caravan and set off for the Yorkshire Dales at lunchtime. It was damp and misty when we arrived in Reeth, but it didn't really matter. MrM had booked a lovely caravan site in an orchard - it's quite small and, at this time of year, quite quiet. No phone signal, no internet, no radio reception - completely away from it all!

We had a stroll round Reeth and then had to make the difficult decision as to which of the three pubs to eat in - a delayed birthday meal for MrM. After perusing the menus, and establishing that all three are 'dog friendly', we settled on the Buck Hotel, where we enjoyed an excellent dinner. And, unusually, I enjoyed some proper cider!
