Melancholy Monday...

... for no particular reason - it just seems that way! Not that it's been a bad day, even. A combination of things, maybe - a strangely unsettling week, dull days and the coming of winter.

MrM loves the Autumn. And I love the Autumn colours - but not the thought of the long, dark evenings ahead...

Anyway, enough of the melancholy. The photo was taken on Wooler Common, late in the afternoon as the light was fading. As was the extra - lots of amazing toadstools like this have appeared on the edge of the wood.
