A BEAUTIFUL PINK ROSEBUD - BCAM11

I’m the rosebud
     that was told
          “You will never
               make anything
                    of yourself…..
you will never
     reach your 
          full potential”
               and of course,
                    “they” were right…..
but does reaching
     “full potential” mean
          that you have 
               to conform and 
                    bloom like
                         every other rose?
I may look forlorn
     but I have given 
          joy and delight
               to someone
even though
     my growth and
          blooming power
               may have been 
                    stunted.
So don’t judge
     the worth of
          a rosebud - 
               or a person
                    by how 
                         they look…..
looks can be
     deceiving.
