Walk continuation

The walk we did today can be regarded as the continuation of this walk. We started where we finished last time, in Arabia (which necessitated a look in the Arabia/Iitalia shop, but luckily no money was spent...) and carried on down the coast towards the city centre. The walk was part verdant autumnal views, part gritty post-industrial, and part building site. It's interesting that when they are building, the Finns don't completely lock space away, but allow the public to keep on passing through. I've updated my flickr album with some photos that make this clear.

We eventually reached Hakaniemi, and after consulting the map decided to press on towards the university area where we went for a coffee at Fratello, and caught the tram back here.

Towards evening we ventured out again in the hope of finding the sunset, but a bank of dark cloud came into the west just before the sun went down. So boo to that.

Anyway, this is my first entry in the Community challenge for the seasonal colours (although they are somewhat past their best in Finland now...).
