Hurricane Ophelia

A wild night, and the winds were still blowing all day.  Showers all morning, but slowly started to ease off in the afternoon.  By teatime the sun was out and a fairly calm evening now.

I've been working in the museum office today, and plenty to catch up with.  My pc got fixed at the end of last week, so an overwhelming amount of emails to get through!  With the storms coming to an end, me and Sammy got out for a good walk this evening.  Off to work in the pub later.

Hurricane Ophelia wasn't much of a storm by the time it reached us!  The winds were only 60-70mph, a normal winter breeze.  There's been little damage, as we build for wind here, and our few trees are well rooted!  There was ferry disruption, and some folk went a while without power.  We are all still glad to have been kept safe.  This was below mam's this lunchtime, the seas had calmed a fair piece.  Taken at Ayre of Aith, Cunningsburgh.
