Another token for a free coffee and cake at John Lewis inveigled His Lordship and me out to run the gauntlet of demolition and road works that bar the route down Leith Walk to our goal.
The Let's Eat Café on the top floor allows a comprehensive view over a scene of utter devastation mired in mud. Having said that, the task is a gigantic one and after surveying the backside view as it were we stood for a time on our way home on Leith Walk and watched transfixed as a claw like grabber on a huge crane made mincemeat of reducing the erstwhile King James Hotel to rubble.
The scene is my extra image.

While passing the RSA gallery on Princes Street I thought this man, who seemed to be sketching the corner of Hanover Street from the gallery steps with his two little Yorkies in attendance on their pooch blanket, deserved Blipfoto attention.
