A night to remember.....

... is a good description of the 2nd of November 1967 when Winnie Ewing won the Hamilton by-election and started a new political generation in Scotland.  

it is  also a good description of tonight's tremendous 50th anniversary dinner organised by Christina McKelvie and her Hamilton Constituency Association which was very well attended,  which got the chance to see a great wee documentary about the by-elction made especially for the evening  and which heard  tributes to Winnie and her legacy  from Nicola , from  her son Fergus  , from Linda Fabiani and from me .....and at which a great time was had by all.
