An ordinary life....

Ground Force...

As I was out most of the afternoon yesterday and it was dark when I returned, I hadn't seen the progress made by Bruce and the guys in the garden.

I got a pleasant surprise when I came downstairs this morning and saw the extent of their progress.  Gazebo almost finished, central paving path almost complete and drain in for water feature.  Getting really excited about the completion.  At least we will have one part of the garden not destroyed by Lola!

New agency support worker started today (we use agency to cover gaps in our own support team's rota)  Her name is Sarah and she's lovely.  She also met Alan when he was at school as she worked there for a while just before he left.  Not sure if he remembers her but he was completely charming to her and she fitted right in immediately.

We are interviewing two prospective candidates for support worker role on Thursday and all being well, both will be suitable then we will begin the whole training and getting to know you routine once again.  We just have to accept this will be an ongoing situation.

My left foot accelorator pedal is being fitted to the car tomorrow so I will be able to drive it.  Been champing at the bit to have a go since we picked it up!  Also the French polisher is returning the dressing table and bedside table tomorrow having performed his miracles on the water stains.  Looking forward to seeing them.  That means we can get on and get that bedroom finished.

I am seeing a tiny light at the end of the tunnel :-)
