The long lunch

Wow what a lunch!
Rachael, Kevin, Sherrine, Stewie, Yiota, Scott and I had a beautiful day at Fraser Gallop Estate In Wilyabrup.
The setting is stunning, a long drive flanked by trees, an elegant house and garden, gorgeous lake and vines for miles...
The chefs were the legend Pierre Koffman and local chef Russell Blaikie, they gave a short talk and answered a few questions, I asked Pierre the same question I asked Rick Stein the other day hoping for a better answer.. ‘ if you’re cooking at home family or friends what music do you have on?’ He said that he doesn’t cook at home LOL, then he said that you didn’t need music when eating amazing food. Russell then said he had heard him singing to himself when he was cooking and Pierre then admitted that he did sing some old French songs like Charles Aznavour ;-)
Somebody else asked him what his last meal would be and he said without hesitation Bouillabaisse followed by his grandmothers apple pudding.
The food of course was incredible, zoom in to the menu to see details but basically it was octopus salad followed by a beef Wellington and then crème brûlée and sorbet.
We had several amazing wines to accompany our meal and we were treated to a fascinating introduction to them all by James Halliday!

We said goodbye to everyone and Kevin, Rachael and I went back to Yallingup, we were so full! We just relaxed in the sofa and watched Patriots Day and Southside with You.
Hopefully I’ve digested enough of my food to be able to sleep now!
