Leith

A trip round no fewer than three different banks in Leith. Meanwhile the general populace are thronging to the cash converter shops. The rise of inequality and the decline of mobility. Actually, I haven’t really read much about the budget. I liked Martin Kettle’s anecdote from the 50s - Tory chancellors advice being, "we must do something, or else the socialists will promise everything".
And don’t get me started on Kezia Dugdale - having let most of her friends down by chucking in the leadership, she’s now lost her remaining few allies by legging it off to some celebrity TV show. Strewth.
Late afternoon up to the Cameo to see The Party - quite entertaining and much more surreal than I expected, with some decent performances, though Timothy Spall’s starey eyes and open mouth began to irritate the eff out of me.
Home for - macaroni cheese and chips! A special request after watching Rick Stein. Good veggie fare, ummm, apart from the lardons.
