Marjorie's ramblings

"Six days a week"

I asked this elderly collector how often he goes out to collect for the Great North Air Ambulance and that was his reply. He gets a bus from his home to different places each day. It's just one bus to Hexham

He was sheltering in an old doorway but looked very cold.

The Great North Air Ambulance is a charity looked on with great affection by local people. It is supported entirely by voluntary contributions.

We were in Hexham today for Mum to sort out new spectacle frames. It took us a long time and then the technician solved the matter with a quick tweak to the ones she chose a few weeks ago. They had been too tight..........

We had lunch in Costa which has a wide doorway and loos on the same level, essential when a rollator is involved. The lunch was good and we sat and watched people walking up and down Fore Street.

I went to the bank to get money for Mum but was rumbled as using her card and ticked off.  I have authority from her to manage any money matters. Now it seems, she has to have a second bank card, held by me, and hers stays with her. We went back together and it took about 15 minutes to set this up. It will come by post. All for protection so I guess it's good.

Off to Hexham and District Photo Club tonight, the first time in ages. Will they recognise me??
