Cheery Cherry

Flower Friday 01: Flowering Winter Cherry

Strange as it may seem, the little cherry in our garden seems to flower twice every year.  It flowers properly in the Spring, but it also flowers when the first frosts arrive too.  It does this every year, so while it may seem to be confused we've come to accept that this is normal and even to look forward to it.

After all, there's something to cherish in a little tree that flowers in late November and early December every year.

Its Friday evening and the weekend stretches ahead now - how lovely that thought is.  Of course there are an awful lot of chores to do at this time of year - including the dreaded Christmas shopping.  But there's one bit I'm really quite looking forward to.  I'm going to buy "The Tree" tomorrow ...
