En route

We had a pretty smooth trip here. Our flight from Helsinki was delayed, which was a bit annoying. But it was very comfortable indeed (we treated ourselves to Business Class on the leg to Bangkok) and I slept for quite a few hours on the lovely flat bed. We were 90 minutes late into Bangkok which ruined our chances of getting something to eat between the flights. On the contrary, it was a sprint through the airport as we had to exit and recheck in because of our flight configuration. It certainly gave my knee a good work out, and it passed. Oh, and so did Mr A's ticker, which was a relief. Bangkok airport is quite simple in its layout, but it's pretty big with some long walks.

The last leg into Singapore was also delayed (so I guess we would have had more time to get through the airport in retrospect...). It was on a rather antiquated Boeing 747. I haven't been on one of those for years. Immigration at Singapore couldn't have been quicker. We were surprised, and delighted, to see L at the airport, and then La when we got to his flat, which has an amazing view of one of the harbours (see extra). We had a bit of a look around the condo facilities when we arrived, but I was a bit too knackered to blip! Now I'm back blipping over breakfast (toast and marmite for the first time in months), with some rugby showing on the TV. All the creature comforts.

It is really good to be here.
