Trying to find out, online, the difference twixt "specifically" and "especially".
There are "multiseveral" examples of:-
"What is the difference between "especially" and "specially"?"
In fact ≥ 8/10 were for that distinction rather than the one I sought.
MY version says that if they were, in fact, specifically, for me Alice would never have got them.

The Gospel, according to YAHOO©, Answers:-
" Best Answer:  Technically, they are synonyms and are interchangeable, but "especially" is more common and they are used most often in different contexts. They each fit better in different situations.
"Specially" is usually used to mean "specifically" ("This machine was specially designed to suit your needs"), while "especially" is used like "particularly" or "notably" to show significance or emphasis. ("The weather has been especially bad this season") "
