Life in Sunny Dubai

Arctic storm

It was nice to see a sunset today - after AGES!!

The day began with G looking out the window and exclaiming about the snow falling. It didn't last long at all in Bromley which was good because it meant we could head back to the Lodge. My extra is of G, C and E totally engrossed in what was going on with the weather. I couldn't resist getting a shot! It was sad to leave; we've had a really super time.

The journey home was fine until we hit the M25. Something caused big tailbacks, though some parts ran very well. We got off at Junction 9 though and drove on new roads through Horsley and Ockham. Fascinating villages which we have to check out at another time.

We called in at Wisley for C to have a look around the shop, and then, it was a quick drive home, trying to get a decent picture of the bare trees against a beautiful sunset. G pulled in at Newlands Corner for me to get my shot.

The Lodge was freezing when we got back as *someone* thought the heating would be fine on timer rather than permanently on at a very low temperature. Bad idea! It was 2deg outside and probably the same inside. I think at nearly midnight, the place might have finally warmed up!
