Manor Bridge

It was another very overcast morning, so dark.  I dragged myself out for an uninspiring run – around four and a half miles – and was glad to get back home.  It was mild, not windy and  it didn’t rain.

However it did start to rain once we had headed off to Peebles for the rest of the day – and the rain didn’t stop.  We had lunch at the boys favoured café – which went down well.  We then set off for a walk along by the river – so another wet and muddy river walk.  I kept imagining how it would be in summer!  We walked as far as Manor Bridge, and I was delighted that the rest of the walk was on the road, even if it was steep.  Even though the weather was hideous, we were rewarded with great views up and down the valley.  The road took us back into Peebles, and after a supermarket visit we headed home, though not on the minor roads on which we had come.

After a delicious tagine, prepared by TT, he introduced BB and I to triominos – which he had received for Christmas.  BB won after three rounds.

Here is a view up the Tweed Valley from the Sware - in the rain.
