Anyone Home?

I went walkies with my friend Freddy and his mum today and then bumped into another friend and her dog. Although damp and grey, it didn’t rain, and we had a very pleasant walk along the Thames between Reading and Sonning. We walked all the way to Sonning Lock and then back again.

Not far from the lock we came across this Faerie house! They must have set up house there fairly recently, though I realise that it has been several months since I’ve walked this stretch. I see they even added some decorations for Christmas - but don’t they know it’s past time to take them down? Freddy seemed eager for a visit, but we saw no comings or goings today.
