Planning Gone Mad

Discovered today that there is a planning application in to demolish this beautiful 200 year stone cottage and replace it with six (yes SIX) semi detached three storey town houses. The end of the plot frontage is just beyond that huge tree to the right of the cottage.

The proposal squeezes them in - no front gardens and with gardens at the back barely big enough to swing a cat in. They are proposing smaller than standard width garage doors - which effectively means they won’t get used - so there will twelve (minimum) cars parked out on the road - which is right on a very tight, dangerous hairpin bend.

I’m guessing the owners want to sell up and realised that they can make millions from the sale by developing it!

This in top of another proposed development across the road - which will add significantly to the traffic in this part of the village.
