When Fergus Looked Round

... just as I pressed the shutter release.

6.3C and mostly dull and cloudy. Very occasional hail shower. Wind WNW/W at a constant 31mph with gusts to 54 mph since last evening. Very cold.

Last night we had some snow and hail. The hills around and Campbeltown itself were white for a while. Fergus enjoyed the snow when he was out for a walk about 7.30pm but by the time we went out again after 11pm it was starting to get slushy and by this morning was all but gone in town.

Fergus and I went for a walk out to the old shipyard after lunch. There was hardly any snow left, even on the hills round town. I couldn't see any snow on Davaar island. Even Beinn Ghuilean only had a dusting here and there. There are some wind turbine parts on the new quay. Normal sized parts and the usual big cranes have arrived. At the old quay a small cargo ship was unloading. My guess is road salt.
