Trees in contrast

Beautiful on the Common today, but by the time we got there the sun was fast sinking behind the hill, its last rays lighting up some of the trees. The snow on the paths is nicely crunchy, and the pond frozen solid. Louie seemed to enjoy his walk but, but he goes so slowly that by the time we got back to the car MrM and I were both chilled to the bone. Despite the winter-weather gear!
