An ordinary life....

The Reluctant Model

So it's getting near the end of the day and I haven't taken a single photo and the blip panic is starting to set in.

I know!  Lola is seven months old today, she's made for the camera.  A cute seven month birthday blip will do nicely thank you.  Well you can see the result of that idea in extras!  :-)

So, as ever, when in desperation I turn to my other reluctant model but have no fear, I have taught her well.

Head back to eliminate the triple double chin, bright light to bleach the dark circles, darken the background to phase out the bird's nest hair, convert to mono to disguise the uneven skin tones, over-lay grunge filter in a lazy nod to creativity.  Emergency Blip done.

We had a second meeting this afternoon with the (hopefully) new member of Alan's support team.  This second part of the interview lets her meet Alan and see what the set up is at home.  She's really lovely and her name has very positive connotations for Alan so she'd already gained brownie points with him before he'd even met her.

I have a really good feeling about her.  She has no experience of working with a young man with physical and communication difficulties but all the technicalities of Alan's care can be taught.  What's important is she is highly motivated, kind, fully believing of Alan's right to a fulfilling and happy life and most importantly, has a good sense of humour.

She's also a dog lover, which is just as well as she arrived wearing a pair of pristine black trousers and left looking as though her legs needed shaved and with the odd slaver mark where Lola had decided her trousers looked extra tasty and had a wee lick!

Occupational hazard ;-))
