"Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace."
   — Article 26.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (United Nations 1948)

An exhausting but satisfying second day of the conference.  I walked almost 8000 steps around the World Forum as we visited each committee to observe and photograph the students debate their various original and authentic UN styled resolutions, yet also sat for three and a half hours working on the approval panel, fine tuning those resolutions for format, punctuation and clarity. The "work" day ended at 18.30 after a 60 minute debriefing with my own students. The total impact of this active day is to be in a personal comatose condition that I do not intend to dispel this night.

So nice to see kids from all over Europe and beyond meeting to talk with passion about making the world a better place. There is hope.
