Sunny Bingley

So different today from yesterday's grey drizzle.

We walked along the canal (Leeds-Liverpool) to the 5 Rise Locks for a coffee at the 5 Rise Cafe, and then back along the edge of the Bingley North Bog where we saw lots of catkins. The view from there up to the St Ives Estate, above the town, clearly showed the effects of the recent deforestation on the skyline.

Back along the canal into Bingley for a bit of Aldi shopping and to pick up my rail tickets for a trip to Bristol booked for April (just found out I need to book again as John is going away in March).

A lovely day for February but a sneaky wind - more of that to come we're told. Back in the village all the Crocus around the bus stop were open and looking lovely. Tempting to think its spring on the horizon but the cold wind is going to bring more snow by the end of the month!
