Scooby Diving

I was going to wait until home to post this, as I don’t have anything other than an iPhone here (and a disposable underwater film camera) but as the diving school had a cd of images and a TV I got this lovely screen shot. That’s me! It is! It could be anyone, but that’s definitely the SK on her knees praying for it all to be over, ha.
This was from the morning’s practice dive at 5m. There then followed a session in the pool doing nasty things like filling your goggles with water and recovering.
Then it was off out in their rib to the underwater sculpture park. Quite a bit more of a challenging dive for a beginner really - only down to 12m but a fair bit of ear equalisation necessary on the slow descent. Youch. A fabulous place though and a tremendous sense of achievement as I made it to the surface 30 minutes later and pulled out that mouthpiece. Punch the air!
So, we sat and looked out to Fuerteventura in the sunshine from a terrific Greek restaurant (Sebastyan’s - Middleman note). Up the island via Teguise and a really noteworthy sculpture garden and home. And the restaurant was closed - tins of lentils and chorizo instead. And a splash of Tempranillo. Bliss!
