"The Old Lad"

We always have Pheasants picking around in the garden, it is almost unusual to look out and there not being at least one visible.  The record is eight at once.   Apart from the very depths of winter we don't see more than a single male at a time.

We always nickname the cock "the Old Lad" obviously we don't have anyway of knowing if it is the same bird from week to week let alone year to year.  None have had sufficiently different markings

The weather didn't encourage me to do much outdoors so bit of "Pheasant shooting" was my only chance for a blip.
