Motie

Finished the day at a Travelodge near Northampton this evening despite meanderings around rural Northamptonshire courtesy of the satnav which took me further north on the M1 than I needed to go them proceeded to bring me to a lane in a village confidently announcing I’d arrived at the Travelodge Hotel. It turned out to be a further 7 miles and 15 minutes away. I had checked the end point of the route before leaving too. Not well enough it seems.

It was a pleasant enough morning so we walked into town to for a coffee and to collect some gammon and sausages from the butcher and dishwasher tablets (and a few other things we didn’t know we wanted) from Aldi on the Home. It was in our walk through Mote Park that we spotted the rarely seen, somewhat mythical monster Motie lurking in the undergrowth. We beat a hasty retreat.

The highlight of the afternoon was finding and ordering a door. We needed a glazed hardwood door to replace a solid door into the kitchen to match all the other doors in the area. We were looking for a door made from sustainable timber but despite exhaustive searches and chatting with people online there were none to be had.
