Inside the Guildhall

This weekend is the Discover Lincolnshire event. A chance to check out some of the historical parts of Lincoln. I took the opportunity to go and have a look around the Guildhall in Lincoln which is situated above the Stonebow  arch.
The Guildhall has been used since its construction in 1520, occupying the whole second floor of the Stonebow, and still plays host to Full Council meetings and City Council events.  It houses numerous pieces of regalia. This shot is taken in the main Chamber showing the table that the council sits at when hold it meetings. I took quite a few other shots some of which can be seen HERE
If you get the chance it is well worth paying it a visit they do hold Free guided tours  available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30am and 2pm. . I have passed this place for years but have never been in it.

A relaxing evening now might watch a spot of TV before a birding trip tomorrow. Dont forget to put your clocks forward 1 hour if you live in the UK
