Double Bach

Aylesbury Choral Society put on a pretty good performance of the Bach, St Matthew Passion.  It's a big sing and a performance requiring double choir, double orchestra and six soloists, so a massive undertaking.  Bach always writes one too many arias and never quite knows when to stop, but there are lots of wonderful moments and it's technically a brilliant composition.

During the interval I was trying out the capability of my new Olympus to do double exposures. I don't think this is a feature I will use a great deal but it's another thing I have learned.

I had a lovely lunch today with my younger daughter in Wycombe - good to talk things through and mull over ideas for the forthcoming holiday in Somerset.
