Treat day

It has been a day of treats and the main reason I am down in Bristol this weekend.

My daughter has taken me to see Beautiful the Carol King musical as a birthday treat, except my birthday was last July! It has been in Bradford and then Leeds but I was firmly told not to buy tickets. It was well worth the wait one of the best biopic musicals I have seen. Just loved the talented musicians who played  The Drifters as well as the girl portraying Carol King. Of course it is from my era. Tapestry was,the 'must have' LP when I was at college in the early seventies and I still love it.

Other treats included being taken out to lunch beforehand, a glass of Prosecco in the interval and a lie in!!

We walked around for a while in the city centre to give Eda a nap in the pram and went through the out door stalls of St Nicholas Market (not the food bit like last time) and just loved this dog doing her own selling. He was attracting lots of interest. I had to ask people to move aside so I could take, the picture. I did put something in his box.

John had Eda all afternoon, walking back after we had had lunch. She had a lovely big smile for mummy when we walked in.

Their turn for a treat now. They are off out to the pub and then on to a party down the road. Their first time out together without Eda for 6 months. Think they deserve it.
