Little Red Bird

I noticed this little guy skulking around under the Texas Ranger bush.  I wasn't sure whether he was chasing his tail or looking for something.  Eventually, he found this piece of peanut that some other goofy bird (maybe his daddy?) left behind. 

Franklin and the kids are leaving tonight.  I'll be sad to see them go despite never having felt like they cared if I was around.
