Life in Sunny Dubai

Muttrah Sea Front

It's been a very relaxed day; maybe too relaxed, or maybe I was really tired from the stress of yesterday's water incident followed by a 6-hour drive! Anyway, I was down for breakfast by 9:30 and actually sat on a lounger by the pool for the first time ever on a visit here! (I'm not a pool person).

We ventured out in the cool of the day to take in some sights that I love, that no visit to Muscat would be complete without. It started with driving down to see Muttrah sea-front, then through the old road giving great views of the Palace area, a fishing village, the Al Bustan roundabout, back into town again, and we finally parked up near the new fish market. Hilde wanted to check it out, but we got there too late. It was closed before 7pm!

G let me use her DSLR all the time we were in the car. My main shot is my favourite part of Oman - Muttrah seafront with its old Portuguese houses. The extra is a more arty picture from the fishing village. I was hoping to get a decent picture of a zigzag road, but that will have to wait for another day.
