Gently down the stream

Yellow archangel

..lamiastrum galeobdolon  (or as Bill & Ben would say, 'lobolob!')

Today I had a whole day out with my camera, but in the end liked nothing better that this shot of yellow archangel taken out the front as I left the house this morning.  It's very like dead nettle, only yellow instead of white, and if you look closely the individual flowers are incredibly beautiful with their little hairy hats and the wonderful design on the lower lip.  The frills of flowers grow at the base of each of the upper pairs of leaves - 3-5 frills per stem.

I now have the inestimable pleasure of deleting all the other shots I took today ;))

Enjoy your evening  xx
