Lollards Pit, Norwich

At lunchtime, three of us went for a walk down past the cathedral and along the river. This is a pub on the opposite side of the river and road, and was mentioned on the Britain's Historical Cities programme. It is built on the site where in medieval Norwich, the Lollards were put to death by being burnt at the stake. Horrible. You can read about it online. It was to do with religion in the end.

It was very hot in our office and I had a headache in the afternoon, so was pleased to escape at 4.25. I went straight to the swimming pool where I met Jon and H who were going to the gym. It was refreshing but still very warm.

After dinner, Jon and I went for a long walk around the village as it was cooling down, getting back in at 9. The peas on the allotment survived one night without being munched.

Just watched the second episode of The Enfield Haunting. It's spooky.
