Whirling Dervishes

Love how we leave the house in the morning, and just see what happens...

Walked up the Land and round the castle for the Eucharist for Ascension, where we met a Scottish/Irish couple living in Canada. Invited to lunch at friends' (iscas - pig's liver, it was delicious); all went off for coffee at Sr Zé's, at which point, Ermelinda and Fakir did some impromptu sevilhanas...

When we realised the day was going to go on rather longer than we'd thought, went home for a quick nap and to walk Lula, and then back to the Padre's, and off to Évora, where we picked up Ricardo, mooched in the bookshop, had some Brazilian beans, rice and farofa, then watched Ruth, the story of arguably Portugal's greatest ever footballer, Eusebio, and how he came to Lisbon from what was then Lourenço Marques, capital of Mozambique.

Early hours of the morning now, and blipping before bed, quickly, and behind - again - on comments, please forgive me!
