An ordinary life....

One Man and his Dog...

Woke up to another morning of blue skies and sunshine.  Woo hoo!

David is having a golf-tastic week and after giving Lola an early walk, headed off to meet Alan, Kenny and Donald to play the Royal Burgess in Edinburgh.

The golf widows were meeting at mine.  Ele arrived first, then Gail and Natalie.  We headed off to Broadslap for lunch.

We went there via the main road as the back road between Auchterarder and Dunning is still closed after the discovery of a woman's body last Thursday.  Shockingly her death is being treated as suspicious and a murder investigation is underway.   Very out of character for this area.  The poor woman was only 22.  David and I were actually at Broadslap last Thursday and usually take that route to get there but as we were hungry we decided to stick to the A9 as it's the faster route.  If we had gone our usual way, there's a very good chance it could have been us discovering her body as the timing of when she was found matches the timing of our journey along the A9!  I hope the culprit will be found swiftly and brought to justice.

After lunch Gail headed to St Andrews to take her student son some supplies and Natalie dropped Ele and I off at mine.  We arrived at the same time of David who was in a good mood after playing a decent round of golf.

The three of us and Lola retreated to the Gin Palace (David had removed the piles of stuffing from the floor!) to enjoy a cold drink in the sunshine.  Lola joined us and stunned us by behaving impeccably in the garden...no digging!  Just lots of running around chasing birds and insects interspersed with lying on the grass or coming to see us to be petted, before running off again.  Can't wait for her plastic paddling pool to arrive.  Her reaction to that will definitely be blipped! :-))
