An ordinary life....

Scrumptious Max...

Backblip

All go today.  Well apart from the bit where by Blip pal Sleepyhead popped in for a cuppa and we ended up sitting outside in the sun chewing the fat for a couple of hours.  A great way to spend an afternoon.  Sadly I couldn't persuade him to stay for the BBQ.

He headed off and I started the preparing the accompaniments for the BBQ food.  Our niece Jennifer arrived with her best pal Becca (who is like a niece to us) and Becca's gorgeous little boy Max.   Every time I see Max he is cuter (if that was possible) than the last.  He is fourteen months old now and has the sunniest little personality.  A real smiler, although he's a bit serious in my blip (see extras for a smile)  He was great with Lola although a bit unsure of her bark at first (she barked to go outside to do her business and he got a fright) but he soon settled.  Not an easy boy to photograph though as he literally never sits still for longer than a second!  He liked my Ring for Prosecco bell so managed to snap these shots while he rang the life out of that!  :))

Ele, Kenny, Andrew and Nikki arrived not long after and the BBQ got underway.  Typically the sky had clouded over by this point and the temperature had dropped but we were still able to sit outside.  Andrew got the fleecy blankets from the Gin Palace so I snuggled under one of them.

David did an excellent job of BBQing, not easy catering for 9 people and juggling sausages, burgers, a side of salmon, 4 different types of sausages, marinated chicken breast, chicken and chorizo burgers and vegetable kebabs.

After eating we retreated indoors and I gave Becca and Nikki the gifts I bought for them in the new baby boutique yesterday. Thankfully they both loved the outfits and I am so glad I bought age 2 for Max (he's 14 months) as even the 18 months size would have been too small.

Becca and Max head home, followed soon after by Andrew, Nikki and Jennifer.  Ele and Kenny stayed over.  Lovely to have a proper catch up with them as between our commitments over the last few weeks and them being in Spain for part of the time, it's been a while.
