Pure Culbin

It's quite unusual for us to really relax for any length of time so this week has been good for us in lots of ways.  We took our time this morning then drove over to Culbin Forest and did some orienteering training for a couple of hours.  The woodland was quiet and it was good to focus on the terrain and the navigation.  Tony was following courses left out for the GB Talent Squad, a level above the simpler skill based ones I was doing, and he was pleased to be challenged.  I'm always challenged!

Once changed we went to Forres to do a bit of final food shopping and to get ice creams, then called in at the Bakehouse Cafe for bacon rolls and cuppas before sitting out in the garden for the remainder of the afternoon reading.

Shortly we will head out for an evening walk as the sun sets.

My blip is of pure Culbin, a magical forest on sand dunes.  If you look closely you can see the orienteering control I had just found.
