Edinburgh Cancer Centre

Mr hazelh and I have walked through this entrance every weekday for the past five weeks on the way to my radiotherapy treatment sessions. Today was the last one, and marks the end of one of the most bizarre episodes of my life. If I had been told at the start of the year that I (the fit, healthy one) would lose three and a half months of 2018 to dealing with a deadly disease, I would never have believed it - but that is what has happened.

Anyway, my treatment is complete and I assume that I am now cured. Thank you to all the wonderful, kind, expert NHS staff :-)

I am very much looking forward to a return to normality chez hazelh (just as soon as I recover from the side-effects of radiation which - I am informed - can last a wee while).

Exercise today: walking (12,381 steps).
