Quod oculus meus videt

Flattened

We returned from holiday to a garden that bore little resemblance to the one we left.  You can literally assume that the weight of leaves and flowers doubled in the just less than 2 weeks we were away.

Today, it rained, and rained, and rained.  This beautiful flower, which until today had stood proudly upright in the garden border has succumbed to the weight of water hitting it relentlessly through the day.  The only benefit for me was an opportunity to finish the cutting of the slabs with the replacement grinder and new diamond edged cutting disc on a day where I could guarantee that no one would have washing out or be 'enjoying' the garden!  Just as well as it looked as though a dust storm had hit the area while cutting!
