Philadelphus

This Philadelphus was planted about two years ago I think, and is flowering properly for the first time this year. The flowers are wonderful, and the yellowy foliage lights up a somewhat shady bed. The blossom apparently has a very strong, and attractive, scent, but I can hardly detect it. It's the same with roses. I think it's age-related - I just can't smell things as well I used to be able to, or at least, not the more refined scents that one gets from flowers.
