Poppytastic

All in the garden. It’s definitely Poppy time with red ones on the verges and huge oriental ones on bits of waste land. The orange ones are Welsh poppies and I saw lots on the roadside at Coniston a few weeks ago but there are few down here in Herts, except in our garden where they pop up as weeds everywhere. I do like them though they are less impressive than the 4’ High oriental beauties. They are all over last year’s vegetable plot that is no more.

Tonight I’m in Swansea staying st Verity’s daughter’s house. Tomorrow we will drive on to the Brecon Beacons.
