Another lovely day

A little bit longer in bed today. It wasn't hot this morning, but fair and dry. By 9.30 we were up. Karen then spotted the family of blue tits, which we presume are our family, in the garden feeding. We counted at least 6 babies. I was so happy to know so many had survived. It was lovely to see. At 10 we walked to Felbrigg. It is always a lovely walk, and one of the reasons we love the location of our house so much. A 30 minute walk across countryside to bring us into the back of the Felbrigg woodland. There we had coffee and cakes and more relaxing chatter. We had a look at the overpriced plants outside the national trust shops and agreed we got proper bargains yesterday in Aylsham.

We walked back the other way round the lake and were home by 1pm. We had our planned brunch, a bit later than anticipated then relaxed to watch and photograph the family of blue tits which were still feeding and being fed around the bird feeders. Henry managed to get a beautiful photo of a brave baby who let him get really close.

At about 3, our lovely guests gathered their bits together and we said our goodbyes. They headed off to Cambridge and we drove in to Sheringham. We had a nice walk along the front by the sea ending with an ice cream (my diet had had a serious hit this weekend). We caught the end of a vintage car rally in Sheringham. Some lovely old cars including several original minis and an original fiat 500 which was super cute! We felt like we were on holiday, the atmosphere was buzzing.

Home for a bit of tea. We've been to the allotment to collect 3 eggs and the first 2 strawberries. The slugs are also having a go at them. There are a couple of flowers on the mange tout. Tomorrow night I want to do more weeding. Back home I cut the strawberries in half and we had half each!!

Now they are watching the football with the non football players in It, you know, the charity one. I'm not. I'm off to bed. Football is bad enough when they have proper players doing It, but now it's actors and singers running about.

Very tired after my weekend. Bath then bed.
