Travelling south to Northton

Today was my day to move out from Baile na Cille and head south for Harris. I felt sad leaving Hazel and Tim behind. Ridgeback13 was heading for the Stornoway ferry to Ullapool.

On my drive I was on the lookout for bog bean in flower. I was amazed to see this lochan covered with water lilies (and some bog bean plants). It certainly reminds me of Monet.

I had lunch in Tarbert in the one hotel that was open and arrived at Arabella’s B&B in Northton in time for an afternoon nap. There are three lovely beaches here.
