Iron Grave Marker

There are two of these cast iron grave markers in the tiny cemetery at Cambuskenneth Abbey. This one looks squint because it is - sinking into the soft ground. Both markers have 'ETNA' on the back so I assume they were made at  the Etna Foundry in Glasgow. The inscriptions to the people whose graves they mark have long since been worn away. I think they're from the eighteenth century.

I've added an extra of the wild flowers growing on the cemetery wall. Storm Hector has blown away but has left a lot of destruction in his wake. There are some quite big tree branches down and lots of leaves. It's still breezy but nothing like yesterday.

Wishing everyone a good weekend.
